Home Watch Service & Snowbird House Checks in Southwest Michigan
Heading to Florida or Arizona for the winter? A frozen pipe, a failed furnace or a roof leak in an empty house can cause thousands of dollars in damage before anyone notices. AAA Power Washers & Deck Restorations provides home watch service for snowbirds, seasonal lake homeowners and anyone who travels, with regular visits and photo reports so you know your Southwest Michigan home is safe.
What We Check on Every Visit
- Walk the exterior: doors, windows, roof edges, gutters and signs of break-in
- Check the furnace is running and the thermostat is holding temperature
- Look for leaks under sinks, around toilets, water heaters and in the basement
- Check sump pump operation
- Look for signs of pests, mold or unusual odors
- Run faucets and flush toilets to keep drain traps full
- Collect packages, flyers and door hangers that signal an empty house
- Send you a dated photo report after each visit

After-Storm Checks
When a big lake-effect storm, ice storm or windstorm hits, we check your property afterward for downed limbs, roof damage, power loss and ice dams, and we let you know right away.
One Local Team for Everything
Because we are also a full home services company, we can fix many problems on the spot or arrange the right help. Add snow removal so the house looks lived-in, winterizing in the fall, and a spring cleanup before you return. Year-round owners can choose our lake house caretaker service.
Visit Frequency
Most clients choose weekly or every-other-week visits. Many homeowner insurance policies require an unoccupied home to be checked on a regular schedule, so ask your agent what yours requires and we will match it.
